I think I did, but just kept playing, pockets stuffed all the way to the bank. Plus if you're really torn, you could just do the baby move and save right before you unlock it. The brute will drop a free power node (2 of 3). Theres also a slasher thats playing dead near. Note the Security Clearance 2 and 3 lockers by the front doors as well. After entering the next room and getting the creepy silhouette of a pack, turn to the left to find a power node. It was usually worth it, but overall I might just have been breaking even. Obliteration Imminent is the fourth Chapter in Dead Space. (Was it 10? I don't remember) Me personally, if there's stuff, locked away, I will have it, I will not be denied. The doors often have semiconductors, plain old credits, and all sorts of valuable stuff that you might just need, but will probably sell, and all that junk often ends you up with at least 10Gs for a replacement. I found that I was getting waaaay more ammo than I needed for most of my weapons, and like you enough supplies in general, so I would just sell off my extra stuff all the time in order to buy power nodes. In the case of the doors it was just how much money I was gaining in items vs spending in nodes. I think I skipped 1, maybe 2, and one I unlocked I was disappointed in, but overall I'd say it was worth it. I just about always used them on the doors.
